FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The family of a Fort Bragg soldier who has been missing for more than two weeks traveled from Charlottesville, Virginia, to Fayetteville over the weekend in hopes of finding answers about his disappearance.

U.S. Army Spc. Sayveon Anderson, an active-duty soldier assigned to Fort Bragg, was reported missing on June 29.
“My son would go days without talking to me,” his mother, Pamela Anderson, told CBS 17 during an interview on July 9. “But never like this. Not this long. I know my son.”
On Sunday, Anderson’s family, friends and volunteers searched several areas on foot while also distributing missing-person flyers throughout the community.

Fort Bragg officials said they are working with local law enforcement and Army investigators to locate Anderson and bring him home safely.
A spokesperson for the 3rd Corps Sustainment Command, headquartered at Fort Bragg, urged anyone with information about Anderson’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement, the Army Criminal Investigation Division at 910-391-4911 or submit an anonymous tip through the Army CID website.
