Man found dead from gunshot wound on Lane Street in Durham, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Durham police confirmed a man was found dead Sunday with a gunshot wound.

Officers said they were called to a neighborhood on the 2500 block of Lane Street around 3:30 p.m. to investigate a report of a deceased person and found a man’s body in the area.

A preliminary investigation indicated the man sustained a gunshot wound, according to a Durham Police Department news release.

Investigators said the homicide case remained an active investigation. No arrests have been announced as of late Sunday afternoon.
