Art for Hope: A night of giving back in Raleigh in memory of Mason Moore

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Raleigh community will come together for Art for Hope on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Maxwell.

The evening of art and generosity honors Mason Moore, a bright six-year-old who bravely fought against childhood brain cancer before passing away in November 2023.

“For us, it’s a way for us to help and give back to others,” said Mason’s father, Richard Moore. “It gives us a purpose, something to look forward to. It gives us a purpose that was taken away from us.”

Mason’s mother, Jamie Moore, said, “Mason was our world. He still is our world. He continuously inspires us.”

The event features a silent auction, raffle, food, and drinks, with proceeds benefiting The Cure Starts Now and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Last year, Art for Hope raised over $75,000.
