RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Heat index values are high once again Thursday, prompting the National Weather Service in Raleigh to issue another heat advisory for much of central North Carolina.

Thursday’s heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Forecasters said heat index values — a combination of temperatures and humidity levels — could reach up to 107 across parts of the Sandhills and Triangle.
The counties under Thursday’s alert include:
- Chatham
- Cumberland
- Durham
- Edgecombe
- Franklin
- Harnett
- Hoke
- Johnston
- Lee
- Moore
- Nash
- Orange
- Sampson
- Wake
- Wayne
- Wilson
