CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WNCN) — An early Saturday morning crash on Interstate 85 in Granville County has closed a stretch of the highway starting about 4 miles north of Durham County, officials said.

The crash was reported around 4 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 197 along northbound I-85, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Crews have closed I-85 north near Creedmoor and Butner at mile marker 191, the exit for N.C. 56, the N.C. Department of Transportation said.
The 11-mile stretch of I-85 is closed because the N.C. 56 exit is the only exit before the wreck area — the next one is at U.S. 15 at mile marker 202, according to North Carolina troopers.

An image from the scene, along with initial reports from dispatchers, indicates that an SUV collided with a fire truck on I-85 at the Smith Road overpass, leaving at least two people injured.
CBS 17 has reached out to Granville County officials for more information regarding the wreck.
The highway patrol said that they did not have any information to release about the crash early Saturday morning.
