CHARLOTTE (WJZY) — A Charlotte property management company has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against former Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and Jermaine Jackson, alleging they failed to pay rent and vacate an Uptown condo after repeated notices.

According to the complaint filed in Mecklenburg County Superior Court, Agape Property Management Group claims Ball continued leasing Unit 5B after purchasing Unit 4B in 2024 and allowed Jackson to remain in the apartment as a subtenant.
The lawsuit alleges the defendants stopped making full rent payments, failed to leave the property after notices to do so, and owed more than $181,500 in unpaid rent and more than $90,000 in HOA compliance fines as of July 1, 2026.
