GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) — An overturned cement truck has closed a section of Interstate 40 West in Wake County Wednesday afternoon, the North Carolina Department of Transportation said.

According to NCDOT, the incident happened around 10 a.m. on the James E. Harrington Freeway section of I-40 near Garner.
Due to the crash, according to NCDOT, I-40 West is closed between Exit 309 and Exit 306A.

Drivers are asked to use Exit 309 to US 70 East, then take Exit 326 to US 70 Business West to get back on I-40.
