Woman injured in shooting at Wilson County gas station along I-95, officials say

WILSON, N.C. (WNCN) — Wilson County authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a woman at a gas station just off Interstate 95 on Saturday morning.

The shooting was reported around 9 a.m. at the Shell gas station just east of I-95 at 4945 Raleigh Road Parkway, northwest of Wilson, according to Wilson County officials.

A woman who was injured in the shooting was being taken to a hospital for treatment, but her condition was not available Saturday morning, officials said.

An alert to be on the lookout for a vehicle linked to the shooting was issued for law enforcement in Nash County, which is located about two miles northwest of the gas station, according to Nash County officials.

The car was only described as a silver four-door sedan with 30-day tags, Nash County officials said.

No other information was available on Saturday morning.
