DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman died after gunshots were fired into her vehicle this afternoon on Revere Road.

Durham officers said the driver was traveling toward Sedwick Road around 1:30 Saturday afternoon when the shots were fired.
Investigators say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger was transported to the hospital. Police say her injuries were considered non-life threatening.

According to officers, the shooting was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the public.
No arrests were announced but the investigation is ongoing. Police say additional information would be released at the appropriate time.
