FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The man killed in a double shooting in Fayetteville over the weekend has been identified, police said.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers responded on Sunday just after 4 p.m. to multiple ShotSpotter alerts in the area of Newark Avenue and found several shell casings.
While searching the area for evidence, according to Fayetteville police, officers located a man lying on the ground nearby in the 700 block of State Avenue with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the man was identified as 21-year-old Kaleb Michael Nash of Fayetteville.

A juvenile male was also shot and arrived at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. His condition is considered stable, according to Fayetteville police.
