CLEMSON, S.C. (WNCN) — Bill Belichick and the thus-far undefeated Tar Heels will try to leave the off field turmoil behind in Chapel Hill as they travel to South Carolina for a huge test to start Atlantic Coast Conference play.

North Carolina (2-0) visits Death Valley Saturday to face Clemson (1-1). Kick off at Memorial Stadium is scheduled for noon.
The contest is the team’s first since it was announced that Steve Belichick, the Tar Heels’ defensive coordinator and son of the head coach, will be resigning once his medical leave is over next month. He has been out since August for an undisclosed reason.
The Tar Heels are coming off a 35-3 victory over East Tennessee State last weekend. Demon June led the way with three rushing touchdowns for UNC, finishing with 33 yards. Quarterback Billy Edwards recorded 244 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Dabo Swinney’s squad hosted Georgia Southern last weekend, winning 22-7. Place kicker Nolan Hauser was perfect on all five of his field goal attempts to lead Clemson’s scoring. The Tigers’ only touchdown of the game came courtesy of backup quarterback Christopher Vizzina, who threw to T.J. Moore for the score.
Up next for UNC is a bye week followed by another big matchup, this time at home. The Tar Heels are set to host Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
