RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles office in Raleigh for international truck drivers is being moved, officials said.

According to NCDMV, the International Registration Plan office at 1425 Rock Quarry Road, Suite 100 permanently closed on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.
The new office is scheduled to open at 3301 Terminal Drive, Suite 119 at 8 a.m. on next Thursday, Oct. 1.
NCDMV said the office hours will remain Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except during state holidays.

Before the new office opens, according to NCDMV, commercial truck customers may visit the International Registration Plan office at 6016 Brookshire Blvd. in Charlotte. Hours are also Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The International Registration Plan is a registration reciprocity agreement that gives commercial truck drivers apportioned payments of registration fees based on the total distance driven in the United States and Canada, according to NCDMV.
North Carolina is a member of the International Registration Plan.
