What started as a simple TikTok trend featuring porch bakeries has blossomed into Hinton’s very own bakery cart, serving up delicious treats like her famous “Toe-Curling Cake”.
Hinton’s self-serve cart operates on the honor system and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Early morning lines and a supportive community showcase the special connection she’s created through her desserts.

“It’s been unimaginable the number of people who come and travel,” she said. “I had a gentleman travel from Nashville, Tennessee, just for cake. He has family in the area, but he didn’t come for the family. He made that very clear. He came for the cake because he saw it on social media.
Hinton said she learned her baking skills from her great-grandmother.
The bakery cart is open Wednesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until sold out, at 602 Keith Street in Knightdale.
